Press Release: Darke County Aviation Day

 The Darke County Commissioners in conjunction with the Civil Air Patrol are sponsoring an Aviation Day at the Darke County Airport on Saturday, September 24th, 2016.  The event will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Darke County Airport, 9724 State Route 121, Versailles, Ohio 45380.

A Free, Fun Event for everyone who has an interest in aviation.


Education Provided by:

The Civil Air Patrol

Richard Borgerding, private pilot

Miami Valley Career Technology Center – Aviation Maintenance Technicians

Upper Valley Career Center – Aerospace Occupations

Aircraft on Display:

The Civil Air Patrol’s disaster service aircraft

Experimental and Ultralight aircraft

Darke County Airport Tenants will have their airplanes on display and stories to share

Midmark Corporation’s corporate jet


Parking & Security for this event will be provided by Civil Air Patrol Cadets

GHS Supply Chain Management team will be offering lunches to the visitors for donation (donation will benefit Special Olympics of Darke County).

The goal of the event is to provide insightful information of aerospace opportunities to our guests of all ages.
